Bohill Cottage, Penryn, Cornwall.

Welcome to our Third Blog!

This blog tells you all about our home while we are in the U.K. We are here from mid June to mid September, which is the Hurricane season in the Caribbean.
Here are some snaps of the cottage.
Front Aspect.
Yes it's the cream coloured cottage in the center.  This shows that it's not a good idea to drive to the front door on arrival as it's a VERY tight squeeze. The road is also used by traffic.

Rear Aspect
This is the rear or lower ground floor. Obviously better for parking and unloading luggage.

Dinning Room or entry Hall.
The dinning table is designed for small rooms. Four chairs pack underneath and the table top folds down too. Breakfast paraphernalia lives here with outsized dishes, and table ware.

Kitchen
On this floor the kitchen and reception room.
Reception
Here we have the TV and Music room which doubles as a games and everything else room. Thank-you for putting on slippers when walking on the wood.

Stairs to First Floor
We came back one year to find someone had decorated the staircase. We love originality.

Master Bedroom

En suite
Needs no further comment.
Second Bedroom
The second bedroom suites short people, as the roof is gabled and has dormor windows. It has an en suite as you come up the stairs. Of course the sound system is available on all floors .

Jacuizzi

Sauna
These are both self explanatory as is the utility room .
To cover all eventualities we have folders in the lounge with instructions for the use of everything.
There is no longer a manager to phone in an emergency, you are trusted on your own.  There are also folders with places to eat and things to do. Likewise no phone or wifi when we are not there.  With todays' technology most people have a mobile anyway- smile.
Alas no garden to tend , no grass to mow, it's a holiday retreat in the full sense. Cool boxes etc downstairs beach towels available the list is endless. Bring your own walking boots.
The Falmouth area is well treated on Trip Advisor .
Getting there by car enter TR10 8JG on Google maps gets you to the back of the property.
By Bus or Train email and we will explain.
In any case you will need to contact us to get the Keysafe number!

Merry Maidens,  There is very poor phone or internet coverage in this area so take a backup OS map to be sure of finding the Merry Maidens. Sat nav is easier TR19 6BQ (if you have it) but either way its the B3315 and there is a brown tourist sign which is easily missed in the summer growth of hedgerows. Worth visiting...

Burial site from above.

Sea view
Not far from the Merry Maidens so worth a look. This is the entrance to what was a far larger chamber. Inside there is a supporting beam for the road and it has been blocked off. So the entrance is the attraction. PL23 1JH for the Sat Nav

Photo of The Pipers
The Pipers, Park near Boleigh Farm and walk towards the Merry Maidens after 2-5 minutes take the first right onto a grassy lane, easy to spot the Standing Stones from the road. It is possible to get closer for a clear picture.
